Digitization Project

The New England Collections of the American Jewish Historical Society has embarked on a project to digitize all of its current and future collections in an effort to save space, ensure preservation of documents, and to make research easier and more accessible to the public. With a grant from the Trustees Under the Will of Herman Dana to purchase the equipment and software, and a grant from the Schilder Family Fund to hire part-time assistants, the Society has, since 2007, scanned about 75% of its present collections. To read more about the Digital Project read Kodak’s article here.

The Society welcomes donations to its Digital Project, with donations of $100 or more, we will add your name to our online donor list. For more information about the project and about donating to support specific collections, contact Judi Garner, Archivist of the New England Archives at (617) 226-1245 or email judi.garner@ajhsboston.org.
